Alex arrived and went straight to work. When the issue was found he explained it very thoroughly in a way I could understand. Let me make the decisions. No pressure ever. Prices were given up front as well as choices I could make. Very very polite. Fixed the issue and stayed to make sure it worked. Talked with us and answered every question with the utmost patience. Even reminded us we had a free maintenance due and what all of it included, which is very thorough. Set it up before he left and sent us emails to confirm. I am so glad we have the service plan. Ac repair: unit was not cooling properly. After looking into system multiple issue were brought to attention. The capacitor for the fan motor was bad and was not allowing fan motor spin up. Fan is also showing signs of wearing out. High side pressure kept fluctuating with the subcool indicating and issue with the txv. Possible restrictions and sensing bulb may have lost charge. Tried adding small amount of refrigerant and it did nothing. Replaced capacitor. Recommend replacing txv or looking into system replacement.

Condenser fins are broken down & causing the heat transfer to be poor. Subcool was very low, after using the hose on the unit you could see the subcool climb closer to normal temperatures because it was allowing the refrigerant to do its job.

Warranty: system is operating normally at this time, with a 16 degree temperature split. Performed drain line correction and verified proper drainage through the primary line. Performed minor charge adjustment (<2oz) to achieve design subcool. Excess heat is penetrating from the attic and attic access due to the age of the home. Recommend looking into attic tents and reinsulating the attic space.

Warranty: refrigerant charge was low by about ~1 lb. R410A. Since the unit was installed in Oct 2019, could be a possible refrigerant charge issue from install. Will return in 1 month to check the charge and perform leak search of necessary.

Warranty: customer was concerned about unit not cooling properly. After looking into issues discover that the meter device was causing pressures to fluctuate. Sensing bulb possibly lost charge, tried insulating bulb better and it did not make much of a change. Coil is under warranty and will get customer back on the schedule to get the txv changed out. Came back out to install new txv. Pressures are much better currently with a 14 degree split

Call back: system is not keeping up in the middle of the day. In the morning and evening it is cooling, but during the day it is not. Airflow is low from the system. Dirt and dust buildup on the blower wheel is causing lower airflow through the mini-split. Cleaned blower wheel and airflow is normal through air handler.

Install: duct to be replaced was already a 7" duct. Straightened out the duct and replaced the grill to the register. Airflow to that room is better at this time.

AC Repair: short and charring found on the fan control relay at the air handler. Evaporator coil had dirt and dust buildup. Recommend cleaning the evaporator coil in place. The capacitor for the outdoor unit is almost out of range, recommend replacing sooner than later. Board has been replaced, capacitor changed, blower speed lowered, and coil cleaned. System is achieving a 16 degree temperature split at this time. Drain lines are draining normally at this time.

Repair: replaced blower wheel. Unit does not seem to be vibrating as bad. Tighten down everything. There is a little wobble due to parts being taking in and out but as far as the issue replaced both items that were causing the issues. Does wobble a little when motor first begins spinning up.

Ac repair: indoor unit was running on arrival but not blowing cold air. Outdoor was not running. After inspecting the issue the 45/5 capacitor had reading of 1uf for the fan and could only get nanofarads reading form the common to herm indicating it was bad. After replacing capacitor unit started right up and continued to run after for 20 minutes while taking out the disconnect a few times to confirm the issue was fix. Saw no damage to compressor or fan motor at this time.
